YO, PIANO

YO, PIANO is a staged piano concert inspired by the works of pianist and composer Carlos Bianchini. The performance takes the recital experience a step further, creating a framework in which the already rich meanings of the musical proposal are expanded through stage play, generating a multisensory journey—both sonic and visual.

The project investigates, through form, the relationship between performer and music via the body–instrument–space connection. The piano is presented as a manipulable object, and music as an emotional connector. In this way, the work explores the relationship between composer and performer with their own reality, and the new, hybrid possibilities of expression that the stage offers.
