FIESTA/SIESTA/FIESTA

//2017

Sala Hiroshima BCN

Project created during an artistic residency at Sala Hiroshima, Barcelona.

Tagore González and David Orrico delves into stage and musical research through a work in progress that originates in the very understanding of motricity itself, closely examining the mechanics of the musical act of creation in order to endow it with meaning.

Fiesta/siesta/fiesta is an interlude, an unfinished discourse; a staged/performative concert. It is a stage laboratory, a discursive concert. Life as a whole—or as an impasse.

Fiesta as a cataclysm, an incomprehensible nonsense that disorganizes us and shakes our foundations. We must recognize ourselves after the storm and take inventory. Learn to reorganize ourselves and perhaps, with a bit of luck, discover new orders and systems to celebrate the becoming of life toward death as a singular experience.
